Shantanu Majumdar is responsible for long-term strategic partnerships with J.D. Power clients in the ASEAN and India markets delivering insights through research-based consultancy work.

With nearly 18 years’ experience working in the automotive industry globally, Mr. Majumdar, in an advisory role, engages with automotive clients on new product development and customer experience, both in product and the retail network.

He also collaborates on consulting solutions and regularly advises automotive manufacturers on their customer satisfaction, product quality and network improvement programs. In addition, he has extensively worked on new market entry, new product development, and performance benchmarking.

Prior to joining J.D. Power in 2008, Mr. Majumdar was Country Manager for South Africa with Tata Motors and responsible for Sales and Marketing of Tata Passenger Cars in South Africa, Dealer Management of 70 odd dealers, Business Development and Strategy.

He previously was Product Manager for Utility Vehicles with Tata Motors, International Business responsible for customer research and new product development and held the role of Area Manager for Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors responsible for network management and vehicle sales.

Mr. Majumdar earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in Marketing, Information Systems, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

He also earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University College of Engineering Burla.
