Minghuang Zhang is Vice President, Statistics and Advanced Analytics at J.D. Power. In this position, he oversees index development, statistical modeling and data analysis for all of the firm’s projects and is responsible for developing statistical standards for data analysis and modeling. Mr. Zhang also participates in the development of the firm’s Standards for Best Research Practices and supports the corporate research director in research design and review processes.

Mr. Zhang has over 10 years of professional experience in market research analysis, statistical modeling and consulting. Prior to joining the firm in early 1995, he was a research analyst at the UCLA Laboratory of Biomedical and Environmental Sciences and a statistical consultant at the UCLA Department of Biostatistics. Previously, he was a marketing statistician for more than three years in China before coming to the United States.

Mr. Zhang received an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He also earned a master’s degree in biostatistics from UCLA, as well as a master’s degree in mathematics from Xiamen University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Fujian Teacher’s University in China.
