Doug Newcomb is president and founder of the C3 Group and a respected journalist who has been covering car technology for nearly three decades. In 2013 he formed the C3 Group and launched events in New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and at SXSW.
Newcomb also founded the Connected Car Council, made up of top industry thought leaders, and created the C3 Report to provide news and analysis on the connected car and mobility space. Newcomb is a contributing writer for Wired and a contributor to Forbes.com. As a recognized expert on connected car and mobility, Newcomb has been quoted by USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, Reuters and others. He has appeared on national and local TV to discuss car technology and is a frequent speaker at automotive and technology industry events.
Previously, Newcomb served as senior technology editor at Edmunds.com. He began his career in 1988 as editor of Mobile Electronics magazine before serving as editor of Car Audio and Electronics, Mobile Entertainment and Road & Track Road Gear.
