2010 Scion xB

Overview
The Scion xB is an upright, 5-door compact station wagon designed for utility, fuel economy, and versatility. Although the xB is offered only in one body style with one standard engine, this shouldn't be considered a deterrent. Scion dealers offer countless ways for owners to customize their vehicles to their exact liking-this is all part of the buying process. All xB models feature front-wheel drive and a 4-cylinder engine.

History/Genealogy
The Scion xB was introduced in 2004, the same year that the Scion brand-a division of Toyota-was launched. The first-generation model was very boxy, almost looking like a miniature van. The second-generation xB, redesigned for 2008 and sharing platforms with the Toyota Yaris, is a bit softer in the corners and larger than its predecessor, but is still instantly recognizable as a brand sibling (Scion models are designed and marketed for a younger audience, so their styling is more aggressive than traditional Toyota models).

Scion introduced a new Limited Edition xB Release Series 7.0 model for 2010. It includes a 4-piece DAMD body kit, exclusive purple paint, sport muffler, lowered suspension, and unique interior appointments. The infotainment system has also been upgraded across all models.

Therefore, a long list of factory and dealer-installed accessories are available. Audio upgrades include a subwoofer for the audio system, Sirius satellite radio, or XM satellite radio (a Scion navigation system is optional). Interior options include special lighting kits, storage consoles, shift knobs, and sport pedals. To customize the exterior, an assortment of alloy wheels, carbon fiber trim packages, fog lamps, and lighting upgrades are available.

For those seeking performance upgrades, Toyota's TRD department offers a full complement of wheels, exhaust systems, clutch kits, suspension packages, air intakes, and more.
