Concept-Lexus LF-Xh Preview
Critical Knowledge:- A possible hint at the next-generation Lexus RX
- Hybrid gasoline-electric drive system
- All-wheel drive (AWD)
Introduction
Lexus chose the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show to roll out its LF-Xh concept. Looking very much like a candidate for the future Lexus RX replacement, the LF-Xh concept is a specialty SUV based on the Lexus design philosophy of L-finesse.
According to Lexus, the concept combines a powerful body and elegant interior to give this next-generation SUV a dynamic look and feel. The "h" in the name hints at the application of the Lexus Hybrid Drive-what Lexus describes as a sophisticated fusion of superior environmental and power performance designed to achieve outstanding driving response, quiet operation, high fuel efficiency, and low emissions. The Lexus LF-Xh concept vehicle has been equipped with an advanced combination of a gasoline-powered V-6 engine with a high-output electric motor. Power is distributed to an AWD system.
