New for 2011-BuickHistory
Buick is an American automaker that traces its roots back to 1899. In 1903, founder David Dunbar Buick incorporated his growing shop into the Buick Motor Company. The company released the Model B in 1904. That first car was a vehicle that would carry the automaker through the end of its first decade. By 1915, Buick had changed direction, and successfully moved upscale as a luxury brand. As market demands called for a different type of product near end of the century, the automaker introduced its first sport utility crossover, called the Rendezvous, in 2001. Today's lineup includes the Lacrosse, the all-new European-based Regal, and the 8-passenger Enclave sport utility.

Today, Buick manufactures a range of passenger automobiles and sport utility vehicles. These include 4-door sedans and SUVs with up to 5-passenger seating capacities. Models include both front- and all-wheel drive with gasoline powerplants. Buick vehicles are manufactured in North America and sold around the world.
