History
Infiniti is the luxury car division of Nissan Motor Co. Launched in 1990 to the North American market, the brand competes directly against Lexus-Toyota's luxury brand-as well as Acura, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and other luxury automakers. Infiniti originally offered just two models (both cars), but the lineup has grown to include coupes, sedans, convertibles, crossovers and full-size SUVs over the past two decades. The brand has also expanded worldwide, with new markets in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Infiniti automobiles are manufactured in Japan.
