New for 2010-Chevrolet Trucks
Critical Knowledge:- 2010 Avalanche: Two new colors, a USB port for the radio, a revised 1LT package and a new transfer case for 4WD models are the extent of the changes for the Avalanche for 2010.
- 2010 Colorado: A new, fuel-efficient Colorado XFE model joins the lineup for 2010, and the optional V-8 engine gains variable valve timing. In addition, head curtain side air bags are now standard on all models and three new exterior colors are offered.
- 2010 Express/Express Cargo: The Chevrolet Express line of full-size vans carries over without significant change for 2010, but does add remote vehicle start, flex-fuel capability and variable valve timing on all non-diesel engines, and a beefed-up transmission for Express 2500 and 3500 models.
- 2010 Silverado 1500: For 2010, all light-duty Silverado models come with curtain and seat-mounted side air bags, flex-fuel capability is added to all non-diesel V-8 engines, regular and extended cab models with the 5.3-liter V-8 engine get a 6-speed automatic transmission, and all 5.3-liter-equipped models feature a standard 3.08 axle ratio, among other enhancements.
- 2010 Silverado HD: Changes for the 2010 Silverado HD are minor and include a pair of new exterior colors and the inclusion of a USB port on all but the base radio.
- 2010 Suburban: A 6.0-liter V-8 engine with variable valve timing and flex-fuel capability is newly available in 2500 models, and a USB port is now standard on all radios. In addition, several interior and trim packages have been revised and two new exterior paint colors are offered.
- 2010 Tahoe: Mechanical updates for the 2010 Tahoe include variable valve timing and flex-fuel capability on the 5.3-liter V-8 engine and a change to a single-speed transfer case on 4WD models. Furthermore, exterior and interior packages are revised and all radios are now fitted with a USB port.
