Infiniti's G Sedan was launched in 2003. The rear-wheel-drive (RWD) sports sedan was positioned as an alternative to the BMW 3 Series and Lexus IS. In contrast to its competition, the Infiniti sedan not only offered more interior space, but it also offered more horsepower with Nissan's VQ-series, 260-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The second-generation G35 Sedan arrived in 2007. Compared to its predecessor, it was larger, more powerful and even more luxurious. The V-6 engine in the new model had been refined for additional smoothness, efficiency and horsepower, but it still displaced 3.5 liters. The model retained its "G35" moniker. A new model designation arrived in 2009, when Infiniti fitted the larger, 328-hp, 3.7-liter powerplant which it shared with the G37 Coupe, and renamed the car the G37 Sedan. For 2010, Infiniti has treated the G37 Sedan to a mild styling refresh. Cosmetic changes enhance the interior and exterior, new equipment has been added, and there is additional standard content on some of the models.
