2014 Volvo V60 SportsWagon May Come to the United States
If the Volvo V60 SportsWagon comes to the States, it is likely to arrive as a 2014 model to expand the lineup from four confirmed models to five. Currently, Volvo plans to offer U.S. buyers the 2014 S60 sedan, 2014 XC60 crossover SUV, 2014 XC70 crossover SUV, and 2014 S80 sedan models beginning in June. The C30 hatchback has already been cancelled, and the C70 convertible will be discontinued at the end of the 2013 model year.
The fate of the 3-row, 7-passenger XC90 is unconfirmed, although the automaker is planning to replace that model in early 2015 with a new version developed in conjunction with Zhejiang Geely, Volvo's owner since Ford sold the company in 2010.
Currently, the V60 SportsWagon is offered with a range of diesel and gasoline powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid model. If the V60 SportsWagon comes to the United States, it would likely be offered in T5 and T6 trim levels with front-wheel or all-wheel drive, similar to the current S60 sedan.
