2013 Lincoln MKZ Receives "Top Safety Pick Plus" Crash-Test Rating
Buyers of the new MKZ choose between a V-6 engine and a gas-electric hybrid powertrain. Four versions of the 2013 MKZ are on sale: base, Select, Reserve, and Preferred. Upgrading to the Select option package adds a reversing camera and rear parking-assist sensors. Stepping up to the Reserve option package installs a blind-spot information system and a rear cross-traffic alert system. A Technology package is optional, adding a lane-departure warning and lane-keeping-assist system, adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning and brake support systems, automatic high-beam headlights, among others.
In addition to being named a Top Safety Pick Plus, the 2013 Lincoln MKZ receives 5 stars (out of 5 stars) in crash testing conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
