Limited-Production 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition Bows in Chicago

According to Pierre Loing, vice president, product and advanced planning and strategy, Nissan Americas, "The concept behind the GT-R Track Edition is to enable drivers who enjoy even more demanding high-performance driving than the GT-R Premium and Black Edition models' extreme performance, the chance to come closer to a competition spec vehicle--no back seat, stiffer suspension, higher grip seats, additional brake cooling--the works."
Those high-grip seats Loing refers to are sport seats upholstered in special leather with cloth accents and blue trim. Additionally, the 2014 GT-R Track Edition is equipped with a handmade, lightweight dry carbon fiber rear spoiler and black forged aluminum wheels equipped with nitrogen-filled Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 ultra-high-performance run-flat tires. This model is available in Deep Blue Pearl, Jet Black, Solid Red, Gun Metallic, or Pearl White.
Additional upgrades for all 2014 Nissan GT-R models include improved mid-range throttle response, a new oil pan baffle to stabilize oil pressure during hard driving, upgraded interior materials, and the name of the person who built the GT-R's engine is affixed to the car on a small plaque.
The new 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition is scheduled to go on sale in May of 2013, and price has yet to be disclosed.
