Jaguar Recalls 2010-2012 XF Models for Fire Risk

According to a recall issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Jaguar XF may have a cracked fuel tank fuel outlet flange. This could allow fuel to leak onto the ground, and in the presence of an ignition source, that leaked fuel could start a vehicle fire.

Jaguar says 4,195 vehicles are affected by the recall, all equipped with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. Dealers will replace the fuel outlet flanges free of charge beginning on December 7, 2012.

Owners can contact Jaguar directly with questions by calling 1-800-452-4827. The NHTSA campaign ID number for this recall is 12V521000.
