2014 Hyundai Tucson Changes Include New Engine, Flex Steer Technology
In the United States, the Tucson's current 2.0-liter generates 165 horsepower and 146 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers can upgrade to a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder delivering 176 horsepower and 168 lb.-ft. of torque. If the U.S.-specification 2014 Tucson is equipped with the new direct-injection engine debuting in Geneva, it is likely that the new engine would replace both of the Tucson's existing offerings.
Other changes include minor exterior styling tweaks, an upgraded interior in terms of materials and details, available bi-xenon headlights with LED running lights, and a Thin Film Transistor Supervision gauge cluster. Additionally, the new ix35/Tucson gains Hyundai's Flex Steer electric steering technology, offering Normal, Comfort, and Sport steering tuning.
More details regarding the 2014 Tucson are likely to be revealed at the 2013 New York Auto Show later this month.
