Redesigned 2013 Acura RDX Receives "Top Safety Pick" Rating

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the redesigned 2013 Acura RDX as a "Top Safety Pick," and receives a rating of "Good"--the Institute's highest rating--in the frontal-offset crash test, side-impact crash test, rear-impact injury prevention test, and roof crush strength test.

Built on the Honda CR-V platform, but featuring a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and a long list of standard equipment, the new Acura RDX has a base price of $35,215. Six air bags are included on every RDX, along with traction and stability control and 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist.

The only options are all-wheel drive and a Technology package with navigation, premium sound system, power tailgate, high-intensity-discharge headlights, and a reversing camera.
