New 2014 Acura MDX Previewed by MDX Prototype in Detroit

Details are scant. The rendering shown here displays Acura's new "Aero Sculpture" design themes, which the company describes as having "alluring proportions with smooth, arching body lines matched to an efficient architecture." It would seem a safe bet to assume 7-passenger capacity and interior volumes greater than the redesigned 2013 RDX model. An educated guess is that the new 2014 MDX will also be offered with new AcuraLink cloud-based connectivity technology.
Beyond that, we'll need to wait for more information. Will the new 2014 Acura MDX offer a 310-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 as does the redesigned 2014 RLX? Will it be available with the same Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system as the RLX and upcoming 2015 Acura NSX sports car? Will it be offered with Jewel Eye LED headlights, a Krell Audio high-fidelity sound system, Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS), and new safety technologies found on the RLX flagship sedan?
Answers to these questions and more will come soon.
