Entering 2011, Volvo Cars is now officially owned by Chinese Zhejiang Geely Holding Group but retains its headquarters in Sweden. In addition to news of the new ownership arrangement for the brand, Volvo boasts a pivotal redesign of their S60 sedan. Assembled in a flashy four-door coupe style vehicle, the 2011 Volvo S60's new attractive presence is joined by dynamic handling and standard City Safety advanced protection. The naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder base engine is no longer offered on the Volvo S40 and V50 for 2011 leaving the more potent turbocharged 2.5-liter engine as the only propulsion unit. The 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine utilized by the S80 and XC90 received a mild performance bump for 2011 with five extra horsepower (totaling 240 horsepower). V-8 engine power is no longer available with the Volvo S80 sedan but the returning T6's turbocharged powerplant has been hiked to 300 horsepower. With the discontinuation of the V70, the Volvo XC70 wagon has gained a front-wheel drive configuration. The 2011 C30 and C70's front and rear styling has been updated.
