Exterior Features
The 2013 Volvo S80 is available as 3.2 and T6 AWD models in base, Premier Plus, and Platinum trim levels. Standard equipment includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, power mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, rain-sensing wipers, and headlight washers. The T6 AWD model adds a power sunroof and 18-inch wheels.

Interior Features
Standard on the base S80 are walnut wood trim, leather, power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless Drive technology, Volvo Sensus information display, and Bluetooth calling and music streaming. Also included are an 8-speaker stereo with USB/iPod connectivity, auxiliary audio input jack, CD changer, satellite radio, and HD radio.

Optional Features

Premier Plus trim includes a Homelink remote, active bi-xenon headlights, front and rear park-assist sensors, and more. Platinum models add a 650-watt premium surround-sound system, navigation system, and a reversing camera.

A Climate package adds heated front and rear seats. Included in the Inscription package are Sovereign Hide leather, extended leather, climate-controlled front seats, and a wood steering wheel. A Dynamic package provides special 18-inch wheels, sport chassis, sport-bolstered front seats, sport steering wheel, and aluminum cabin trim.

Under the Hood
The 2013 Volvo S80 3.2 is equipped with a 240-horsepower, 3.2-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode drives the front wheels.

The S80 T6 AWD includes a 300-horsepower, turbocharged, 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine. This model is equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD), and its 6-speed automatic transmission features a new Sport shift program, in addition to a manual shift mode.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Volvo S80 are:
  • S80 3.2: 19/28/23 mpg (city/highway/combined)
  • S80 T6 AWD: 18/25/21 mpg

The 2013 S80 is equipped with the following safety features: 6 air bags; 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, ready-alert braking, and Fading Brake Support; traction and stability control system; rain-sensing wipers; and a City Safety low-speed pedestrian and object detection system with full auto-braking.

Safety-related options include a reversing camera, park-assist sensors, and a blind-spot monitoring system. A Technology package adds adaptive cruise control with Queue Assist and Distance Alert, Collision Warning and Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake, lane-departure warning, Driver Alert Control, Active High Beam headlights, and Road Sign Information recognition technology.
