  • Service interval extended from 7,500 miles to 10,000 with use of synthetic oil

Exterior Features
The 2013 Volvo C70 is a 4-passenger vehicle equipped with a power-retractable hardtop that converts from a coupe to a convertible in under one minute, according to Volvo. Three trim levels are available: T5, T5 Premier Plus, and T5 Platinum. Standard equipment includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, fog lights, heated power side mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers.

Interior Features
Every C70 is equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, 8-way power front seats, outside temperature display, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity with music streaming, satellite and HD radio, and a USB/iPod connection.

The T5 Premier Plus trim package includes keyless entry, push-button start, rear park-assist sensors, Homelink universal remote, and LED running lights. The Platinum trim package adds a 650-watt premium surround-sound audio system and a navigation system.

Optional Features
Any Volvo C70 can be equipped with an Inscription Edition package that provides Polestar engine tuning, unique 18-inch aluminum wheels, active bi-xenon headlights, rear spoiler, sport steering wheel, and a full leather interior treatment with aluminum pedals. However, this option is available only with Black Sapphire metallic exterior paint.

Alternatively, shoppers can combine a Dynamic package with 18-inch wheels, active bi-xenon headlights, and a sport steering wheel with the Polestar Performance package's power upgrade. Additionally, a Climate package adds heated front seats, and the C70 is available with a blind-spot monitoring system, temporary spare tire, Cranberry leather, and Black Oak cabin trim.

Under the Hood
The 2013 Volvo C70's turbocharged, 2.5-liter, inline 5-cylinder engine generates 227 horsepower and 236 lb.-ft. of torque, the latter peaking as low as 1,500 rpm. A 5-speed automatic transmission transfers power to the C70's front wheels.

The C70 Inscription Edition and Polestar Performance package options benefit from performance engine tuning that increases output to 250 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.

Fuel Economy
As rated by the EPA, the 2013 Volvo C70 will achieve 19 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 22 mpg in combined driving.

The 2013 Volvo C70 is equipped with 6 air bags, including side curtain air bags that deploy from the tops of the front door panels. Additionally, a Rollover Protection System deploys if sensors detect that the wheels have left the ground. Also standard are traction control, stability control, and 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes.

Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) had rated the 2013 C70's crash protection as this overview was written.
