Toyota Sequoia Pricing & Reviews

Economically, the 1990s were good to Americans, a fact reflected in the surging popularity of gas-guzzling full-size SUVs equipped with V-8 engines and sitting on clunky pickup truck platforms. The extra room, extra power, extra ride height—it was all too alluring for families flush with cash. The Toyota Sequoia joined the fray for the 2001 model year. Based on the Tundra pickup truck, the Sequoia’s calling card was reliability. A redesign for 2008 coincided with the Great Recession and fast-rising gas prices. Sequoia sales never recovered after that, and by the time people started buying big SUVs again, this Toyota was based on the oldest component set in the segment.
