For 2004, two products in the Saturn vehicle lineup receive the benefits of enhanced power. Introduced in 2003, the fresh-looking Saturn Ion range receives an all-new performance model. Only available with the Saturn Ion Quad Coupe, the Red Line trim contains 17-inch wheels, sport suspension and most importantly a potent 205-horsepower supercharged engine. On the 2004 Saturn Vue compact sport utility, a new 3.5-liter V-6 engine and transmission supplied by Honda delivers 250 horsepower while also providing improved fuel economy. The new top-end powerplant was among several changes to the 2004 Vue that also included retuned power steering and a restyled interior. For V-6 powered Saturn Vue models, Red Line debuted with 18-inch wheels and a sport-tuned suspension. For 2004, sedan and wagon versions of the L-Series has been simply redefined as the L300.
