The Saab 9-5 is all new for 2010. Replacing a previous generation that had been for sale for 13 years, the newest 9-5 is based on a platform shared with former parent company GM's Buick LaCrosse.
2016,No matter, the new 9-5 was built expressly to to impress those who would never have considered buying a Saab before. The 2010 model is longer by nearly 7 inches and wider by about 3 inches. It features taller doors and a sleek decorative curved ridge that circles around the rear deck. The sides of the vehicle are noticeably smooth and creaseless save for the small vent-like openings behind the front wheels. A black B-pillar gives the impression of one large window that wraps around the front of the car. The front maintains the Saab grill and slit-like headlamps. Overall, the car is elegant and sleek and deserving of the premium price tag that accompanies the 9-5. It finally looks like the luxury car Saab always meant to be.
2016,The 2010 9-5's got a brand-new 2.8L 300-horsepower turbocharged V6 connected to a 6-speed automatic with a manual shift mode pushing it down the road as well as standard all-wheel drive.
2016,An extensive standard equipment list is included with the 9-5. Standard all-wheel drive and a 3-mode adjustable suspension improve handling and performance. Convenience features include keyless start, bi-xenon HID headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a cooled glovebox and dual-zone climate control. The standard stereo is of the 9-speaker variet and includes satellite radio. Standard seat trim is leather and the steering wheel telescopes. The 9-5 also includes a slew of airbags, including frontal, side-impact, head curtain as well as rear passenger ones.
2016,The list of options is impressive as well. 19-inch wheels are optional, as is a navigation system. A Rear Passenger Package includes a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, 3-zone climate control to keep rear passengers happy. High-tech options such as a heads-up display and lane departure warnings are optional. Harman/kardon surround sound and ventilated seats keep those riding in the front comfortable as well. Checking enough boxes on the options list can push the price tag of the 9-5 north of $56,000, but at that level, it's very impressive, both inside and out.
