Nissan Pathfinder Pricing & Reviews

Originally, the Nissan Pathfinder was a direct competitor to the Toyota 4Runner, arriving for the 1986 model year with rugged good looks from the Hardbody pickup truck on which it was based. Then Nissan softened the Pathfinder to better compete with the popular Ford Explorer. Then Nissan toughened it up, once again making it an SUV version of its small pickup truck. Then crossover sales ignited, making modern versions of this iconic vehicle more adept at finding paths to local malls than to remote outposts. Though Nissan tries to satisfy both types of buyers by offering greater off-road and towing capability, today’s Pathfinder is a compromise that seemingly satisfies few SUV buyers.
