Overview

What's New for 2012:
- Addition of new GT-R Black Edition trim level
- More powerful engine and upgraded brakes
- Updated body styling

Exterior Features
The 2012 Nissan GT-R is a 2-door, high-performance coupe available in two trim levels. Twenty-inch wheels are standard.

Interior Features
The Nissan GT-R seats 4 passengers and provides 8.8 cubic feet of trunk space. The GT-R Premium trim level is equipped with leather and suede upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition/entry, heated power front seats, and Bluetooth connectivity. Also standard are a premium 11-speaker Bose audio system that includes two subwoofers and iPod connectivity, cruise control, and a navigation system with a 7-inch screen. The new Black Edition upgrades the interior to unique black and red styling, with leather Recaro sport front seats.

Optional Features
Nissan offers few options for the GT-R and only one package group. The Cold Weather package includes all-season run-flat tires, darker alloy wheels, and a different coolant-to-water ratio that warms the engine quickly. Stand-alone options include Super Silver Metallic exterior paint, and carpeted floor mats. The GT-R Black Edition adds such features as lightweight black wheels and a carbon fiber rear spoiler.

Under the Hood
The Nissan GT-R is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter V-6 engine rated at 530 horsepower.  A 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission and all-wheel drive are both standard.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Nissan GT-R are 16/23/19 mpg (city/highway/combined).

Safety
Standard safety features on the Nissan GT-R include seat-mounted side-impact air bags, side curtain air bags, and electronic brake-force distribution.

To date, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have tested the 2012 Nissan GT-R.
