The Platinum trim adds chrome cladding to the wheels, power exterior mirrors, sunroof, and front parking sensors.

Interior Features
Standard features of the Nissan Armada's SV trim are dual-zone automatic climate control, rear climate control, power accessories that include a power driver seat, and an 8-speaker sound system. Four-wheel drive models upgrade the sound system to an 11-speaker Bose model, and adds Bluetooth connectivity and a rearview camera. The SL trim includes the same features as the SV trim, plus leather upholstery with heated front seats and a power-folding third row. The Platinum trim adds a rear-seat entertainment system, navigation system, heated second-row seats, and other enhancements. Maximum cargo capacity is 97 cubic feet.

Optional Features
The 2012 Nissan Armada offers an optional Tow package with all trims. Many standard features available for the upper trims are also available for the lower trims. On the Platinum trim, the second-row bench may be replaced with captain's chairs.

Under the Hood
The Nissan Armada's power plant is a 5.6-liter V-8 engine rated at 317 horsepower and 385 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine works with a 5-speed automatic transmission; however, 4WD models are fitted with dual-range gearing.

- Armada with 2WD: 13/19/15 mpg (city/highway/combined)
- Armada with 4WD: 12/18/14 mpg

Safety
Standard safety features on the Nissan Armada include anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, front-seat side air bags, and side curtain air bags.

In government tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Armada received 3 (out of 5) stars for rollover protection. To date, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not tested the 2012 Nissan Armada.
