The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander comes in four trim levels: ES, SE, XLS, and GT. The ES features 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, and a 6-speaker sound system. Various option packages are available at different trim levels, and can include a sunroof, hard-drive-based navigation system, leather upholstery, power driver's seat, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander ES and SE trims feature a 168-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, coupeed with a continuously variable transmission that delivers 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive, according to the EPA. Outlander XLS and GT models feature a 230-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 engine that employs a 6-speed automatic transmission and delivers 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive.
