Mazda CX-9 Pricing & Reviews

Ford and Mazda collaborated on the original CX-9, a midsize crossover SUV with 3 rows of seats and 7-passenger capacity. Stylish and enjoyable to drive, the original Mazda CX-9 arrived just as the U.S. market entered a significant recession coupled with a spike in gas prices, its thirsty V-6 engine a mismatch with declining economic fortunes. By the time the American economy recovered, the CX-9 had grown old, lacking the sophisticated technologies and top-notch safety ratings demanded by consumers. Ford and Mazda also went their separate ways, delaying a CX-9 replacement. A new CX-9 arrived for 2016, based on the Mazda 6 platform and equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as well as upscale design and amenities.
