Exterior Features
The 2012 Jaguar XK is a 2-door luxury sports car available in either coupe or convertible body styles and is offered in three trim levels. Nineteen-inch wheels and rear fog lights are standard.

Interior Features
The 2012 Jaguar XK seats 4 and provides 11.7 cubic feet of trunk space in the coupe variant, while the convertible provides 7.1 cubic feet of trunk space. Base models come equipped with leather upholstery and trim, heated and cooled power front seats, heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Also standard are Bluetooth connectivity, touch-screen interface with navigation system and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system. The XKR includes HD radio, while XKR-S models feature heated-only performance seats and unique interior accents.

Optional Features
Jaguar groups some options for the XK-Series into packages, such as the Advance Technology package that adds adaptive cruise control with forward alert and active front lighting. The XKR Black Pack features 20-inch glossy black wheels and matching black exterior accents, while the XKR-S Bright Pack features 20-inch polished chrome wheels and other exterior chrome treatments. Stand-alone options vary by trim level but include a carbon-fiber engine cover, heated windshield, and a performance exhaust.

Under the Hood
The 2012 Jaguar XK is fitted with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine rated at 385 horsepower, and the XKR model comes with a supercharged version of the same engine and delivers 510 horsepower. The XKR-S is fitted with a tuned version of the XKR's supercharged V-8 engine rated at 550 horsepower. Standard on all XK models is rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed sequential shift automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Jaguar XK-Series are:
- XK: 15-16/22-24/18-19 mpg (city/highway/combined)
- XKR: 15/22/17 mpg
- XKR-S: 15/22/17 mpg

Standard safety features on the Jaguar XK-Series include pop-up roll bars (convertible only), active front head restraints, and front-seat side air bags.

To date, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have conducted crash tests on the 2012 Jaguar XK-Series.
