Overview

What Changed for the 2010 Ford Flex:
  • The 2010 Ford Flex is a carryover model from last year, but receives several significant upgrades
  • New 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, with twin-turbocharging, is designed to provide the power of a V-8 engine with the fuel economy of a V-6 engine
  • The new EcoBoost engine makes 355 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque while returning 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway
  • A SelectShift transmission is included with the EcoBoost engine, allowing the driver to manually shift between gears using the shifter or paddles mounted to the steering wheel
  • Parents can use the new MyKey technology to program a limited top speed of 80 mph, set a seat belt reminder to chime persistently until all passengers are buckled up, ensure that the traction control is never turned off, and limit stereo volume to 44 percent of maximum volume
  • Optional Active Park Assist uses sensors in the front and rear bumpers to identify a parallel parking space that's big enough for the Flex, and then after the driver agrees to accept help parking, automatically steers the Flex into the space while the driver operates the brake, accelerator and transmission
  • Pull Drift Compensation technology works with the Flex's electronic power steering to help overcome slight steering changes due to stiff crosswinds or road crowns
  • New Sync with Traffic, Directions and Information feature provides hands-free access to personalized traffic reports, turn-by-turn driving directions, news reports, sports scores, weather forecasts, and local business directories
