The 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, an extra-large 7-passenger luxury SUV, is an extended-wheelbase version of the Cadillac Escalade, and is available in four trim levels. Standard equipment on the ESV includes 18-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, power folding and heated mirrors, power liftgate, and running boards.

Interior Features
Standard amenities on the 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV include remote ignition; heated and ventilated 10-way power front seats with 4-way lumbar support and driver memory functions; power-adjustable pedals; power tilt-only steering wheel; heated second-row seats; auto-dimming rearview mirror; rearview camera; Bluetooth connectivity; OnStar telematics system; navigation system; 10-speaker Bose audio system; satellite radio; rear-seat controls; and two wireless headphones.

Optional Features
The Escalade ESV offers amenities in various packages that include 22-inch wheels, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring system, sunroof, power-folding and -tumbling second-row seats, heated steering wheel, power-retracting running boards, leather-trimmed dash and door trim, heated and cooled cup holders, and second-row display screens mounted in front headrests.

Under the Hood
The Escalade ESV is powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers 403 horsepower, and is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV are:
- Escalade RWD: 14/18/16 mpg (city/highway/combined)
- Escalade AWD: 13/18/14 mpg

Safety
Standard safety equipment on the Cadillac Escalade ESV includes stability control, traction control, and a battery of air bags.

In government tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Escalade ESV received 4 (out of 5) stars overall, including 4 stars for front- and side-impact crash protection and 3 stars for rollover protection. To date, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not conducted tests on the 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV.
