In 1903, founder David Dunbar Buick incorporated his growing shop into the Buick Motor Company. The company released the Model B in 1904. That first car was a vehicle that would carry the automaker through the end of its first decade. By 1915, Buick had changed direction, and successfully moved upscale as a luxury brand. As market demands called for a different type of product near end of the century, the automaker introduced its first sport utility crossover, called the Rendezvous, in 2001. Today's lineup includes the Lacrosse, the all-new European-based Regal, and the 8-passenger Enclave sport utility.
