2013 Buick Verano Earns Top NHTSA and IIHS Ratings

The 2013 Buick Verano has earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) highest overall safety rating: 5 stars. This rating comes on the heels of the "Top Safety Pick" designation bestowed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for this model.

The Buick Verano, a compact entry luxury sedan, features 10 air bags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, reversing camera, panic brake override, StabiliTrak, and collapsible pedals as standard safety features. Optional features include alerts to traffic in side blind areas, and to cross-traffic in the rear.

The 2013 Verano also received 5 stars from the NHTSA for frontal- and side-impact tests, and 4 stars for rollover risk.
