Two More Limited-Production Ram 1500 Variants Added to Truckmaker’s Lineup
By Jeff Youngs,
Ram has announced two new "buzz" models of the Ram 1500 pickup truck, each limited to a production run of 1,000. The Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport model features special interior colors, body-colored accents, and limited-edition bright orange paint, while the Ram 1500 Black Sport takes design cues from the popular Black Express package, including black 20-in. wheels and a sport hood.
"With a standard Hemi V-8, the Sport model offers unique features for the customer who likes aggressive styling and great performance but still needs a truck," said Bob Hegbloom, president and CEO of Ram Truck Brand. "Adding limited-edition Ignition Orange and Black Sport models will give our buyers a custom appearance on an already eye-catching truck with all the capability our customers expect."
The limited-edition trucks are available with a crew cab and 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. Standard features include a 395-horsepower V-8 engine, 8-speed TorqueFlite transmission, 3.92 gear set, dual exhaust, vented sport hood, and 20-in. wheels.
The Ignition Orange Sport features body-color accent stitching through the cabin, Sport embroidery on the seat backs, accent color Ram's head on the headrests, and colored accent sport mesh on the seat inserts. The Black Sport interior is nearly all black with leather and light black chrome accents. Both trucks include the 8.4AN Uconnect system with navigation and standard rearview camera system. Both packages are priced at $1,595 above the MSRP plus destination.
The 1500 Ram crew cab in the Sport trim also features projector headlights with LED accents, LED taillights and interior lighting, auto-dimming power-folding mirrors, heated front seats, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, adjustable pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the latest information and connectivity technology.
