Toyota Unveils 2018 RAV4 Adventure Package in Chicago
Toyota Racing Development (TRD) engineers have come up with a new, fun-to drive RAV4 variant for families with active lifestyles. Toyota is adding a sporty Adventure trim level to its popular RAV4 compact SUV lineup for 2018. Debuting at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show this week, the 2018 RAV4 Adventure begins reaching dealer showrooms in September this year.
One of the three most popular compact SUVs in the U.S. market, the Toyota RAV4 gets a new sporty variant for 2018 with exterior styling enhancements, new dynamics and adjustments for off-roading, plus new interior features that include a TRD leather-wrapped shift knob and Sport floor mats. In addition to five exterior paint colors, including the new Ruby Flare Pearl, exterior treatments for the RAV4 Adventure variant include large fender flares, lower body guards, all-black headlight bezels, fog lamp surrounds, roof racks, and special badging. Door sill protectors and a power outlet in the cargo area are also part of the package. The sporty RAV4 variant rides on 18-in., 5-spoke black alloy wheels.
The RAV4 Adventure will be available in either front-wheel drive with an automatic limited-slip differential or Toyota’s all-wheel drive. Both versions will include a standard tow-prep package with upgraded radiator, supplemental fluids, and a suspension with a higher ride height for off-roading. It will also come standard with trailer-sway control, hill-start assist, and the advanced safety system package. Additional optional features for the 2018 RAV4 Adventure include power heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and a wiper de-icer with a new Cold Weather package.
