Redesigned 2014 Lexus IS to Debut in Detroit

Redesigned 2014 Lexus IS to Debut in Detroit

By Jeff Youngs, December 10, 2012
Lexus has announced that the redesigned 2014 Lexus IS will debut in January at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Lexus says the LF-CC Concept "inspires" the all-new 2014 IS, which incorporates "design cues of the LFA" sports car. Currently, the Lexus IS, the luxury brand's entry-level model, is the oldest model in the automaker's lineup. It arrived for the 2006 model year and, 8 years later, is little changed.

Today, Lexus offers coupe, convertible, and sedan versions of the IS. The company has not confirmed that the new IS lineup will include all three styles, but since the LF-CC Concept that inspires the redesigned IS is a coupe, it might signal that a new 2014 IS Coupe will join the new 2014 IS Sedan when it goes on sale next year.
