Ram 1500 Sport Edition in Copper Arrives at Chicago Auto Show

By Philly Murtha, February 08, 2017
This week, Ram truck brand will introduce a limited-edition 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport large pickup at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. Factory-custom trucks are in demand, according to Ram brand leader Mike Manley, who notes that limited editions expand Ram’s personalized lineup. Production of the special light-duty sport truck with unique Copper Pearl exterior paint will be 3,000 units. Pricing for the personalized truck, which begins to arrive in dealer showrooms later this month, starts at a suggested $45,630.

Ram brand officials state that the “eye popping” exterior copper hue carries over on a matching grille with black decal Sport performance hood elements, black Ram’s head grille badge, black tailgate badge, and body-side badges. The new limited-edition truck rides on big 22-in. polished aluminum wheels on the 2WD model, although the 2017 Ram Copper Sport trim is also available with 20-in. wheels on 4WD versions.

This truck’s interior includes copper-color accent stitching and special embroidery on deluxe bucket seats with sport mesh inserts and Ram’s head emblems on the headrests. Copper trim rings link with an all-black headliner to complete the cabin package. An Alpine premium audio system with 9 speakers is also featured.

The 2017 Ram 1500 Copper Sport will be offered in crew cab, V-8-powered models. Including destination, the new Ram 1500 Copper Sport has a suggested retail price tag of $46,950.
