Porsche to Offer Limited Run of GTS Club Coupes to Celebrate 60 Years of Porsche Club of America

By Jeff Youngs,

In honor of Porsche Club of America's 60th anniversary, Porsche is offering a limited run (60 units) of the GTS Club Coupe, based on the 911 Carrera GTS, produced in a shade of blue known as "Club Blau."

The new GTS Club Coupe features SportDesign side mirrors, black-framed bi-xenon headlights with Porsche's Dynamic Light System, 20-in. Sport Classic wheels painted in semi-gloss black with polished wheel centers and rim flanges, and taillights tinted in black. Doors are marked with black "Club Coupe" model designations, clearly distinguishing this unique 911. Distinctive design cues include a more pronounced front fascia as well as a "ducktail" rear spoiler.

The standard GTS Club Coupe interior includes stitching, seat belts, and rev counter in contrasting carmine red, while the dashboard trim strips, door trim, and center console are finished in carbon fiber. The steering wheel features a red 12 o'clock marker and two-tone stitching in carmine red and blue. The center compartment lid is embossed with a "60," and the dashboard trim displays the legend, "GTS Club Coupe 60 Years Porsche Club of America" above the glove compartment. The stainless steel door sills also are stamped with "GTS Club Coupe."

An Extended Club Coupe package is optional, and includes a vehicle key painted in "Club Blau," and a leather key pouch and leather-edged floor mats, both with two-tone stitching in carmine red and blue. An individual personalized indoor car cover is also available.

The GTS Club Coupe features an enhanced version of the 430-horsepower Carrera S engine, which Porsche says can propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds when equipped with the optional PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) dual-clutch 7-speed transmission. The GTS Club Coupe features a third radiator as well as a standard sport exhaust system with black chrome tips. Other mechanical features include Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring, and the Sport Chrono package, which adds dynamic engine mounts.

The new Porsche GTS Club Coupe will launch in June. Club members will have the opportunity to purchase one of 59 vehicles (MSRP is $136,060) and be eligible to win the initial display car.
