Land Rover Unveils “Posh” 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography
In Los Angeles, this week, Land Rover showed off an updated 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography large premium SUV that is more sumptuous and powerful than ever before. The 2018 Land Rover ultra premium SUV seats four and is a one-of-a-kind vehicle “crafted with precision and care” by the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. The 2018 flagship model will be available to order for delivery to dealer showrooms early next year with a starting MSRP of $208,200.
More power has been added to the 2018 limo-lux long wheelbase variant. A supercharged 5.0-liter, V-8 engine delivers 557 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque, both improvements in power and thrust from the outgoing model, when matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
Other refinements inside the 2018 model that was shown at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show are luxury amenities that reach no limits for occupants. For instance, the 2018 SVAutobiography long-wheelbase variant offers nearly four feet of space for front seat occupants. Executive rear seating provides more legroom for passengers with seats that adjust 22 ways, including degrees of reclining, and seats can be programmed with a special hot stone massage feature. There are even warmed calf and foot rests. Another novel necessity in this new SUV is a refrigerated compartment between rear seats that can stow four bottles and two glasses.
In addition to power and interior refinements, the 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography also features more technology, including a control area on the center console to operate power doors, electronically controlled work tables and monitors, also offers new premium capability for the SVAutobiography. Digital enhancements include two 10-in. touch screens to control cabin’s climate and infotainment system.
