Infiniti Unwraps Q50, QX80 Signature Editions in Chicago

Nissan Motor Co.’s Infiniti luxury brand will unveil two special-edition variants at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show that starts this weekend. A new Q50 3.0t Signature Edition compact premium sedan, equipped with a VR-series twin-turbo engine and a host of luxury and technology features, debuts just before it arrives in dealerships this month with a suggested starting sticker price of $38,700 for the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version. Also, Infiniti will display an already-introduced QX80 Signature Edition large premium SUV with luxury amenities that will arrive in showrooms beginning in May.

2017 Infiniti Q50 3.0t Signature Edition front quarter right photo2017 Infiniti QX80 Signature Edition front quarter right photoInfiniti officials said that the new Q50 3.0t Signature Edition is loaded with extras including a power-sliding tinted glass moonroof; InTouch Navigation with 3D graphics and voice recognition; a 6-month subscription to the brand’s InTouch safety, security, and convenience services; along with SiriusXM Traffic. Adaptive shift control is also included.

The new sedan, which is a premium sporty variant of Infiniti’s most popular car model, is equipped with the VR-series 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-6 engine partnered with a 7-speed automatic transmission. It can be orde6red in RWD or all-wheel drive and rides on 17-in. bright-finish aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season run-flat tires. LED lighting systems are standard as is an advanced climate control system.

Also announced at the auto show, the Infiniti QX80 Signature Edition is powered by a V-8 that produces 400 horsepower. The loaded SUV rides on dark-finish 22-in. forged aluminum alloy wheels with all-season run-flats and returns with plenty of amenities, including Saddle Tan leather-appointed interior, chrome outside mirror caps, and a full range of Infiniti’s advanced driver-assistance and warning technologies. Pricing for the 2017 QX80 Signature Edition, which will be offered in four exterior colors, will be released closer to launch.
