Ford Ultra-Lux F-Series Super Duty Limited Bows in Texas

By Philly Murtha, October 02, 2017

Ford set a new luxury standard last week with the debut of its 2018 F-Series Super Duty Limited large pickup at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas. Fully loaded, this heavy-duty large F-Series pickup with all the amenities, custom touches, advanced technology, and bling will have a Texas-size suggested retail price of $94,455 (including destination charge).

Ford says the new 2018 F-450 Super Duty Limited ultra-premium work truck, which is slated to reach dealer showrooms in October, is targeted to appeal to ranchers, contractors, and RV owners. Currently, more than half of Ford’s Super Duty trucks sold are higher trim levels (Lariat, King Ranch (ala Texas), and Platinum), according to the automaker.

On the outside, this super duty pickup is set apart by a twin-bar satin grille with chrome accents and quad-beam LED lighting systems. Satin-finish tailgate tips and a serial number etched on the console lid armrest also differentiate the F-450 Limited trim level.

The high-end truck’s cab features an interior to appeal to captains of industry, Ford says, and includes camelback two-tone, heated and ventilated leather seats with premium stitching plus leather-wrapped steering wheel, armrests, and instrument panel. The cab’s headliner is suede and all interior trim is hand-finished dark ash wood. Special badging identifies this truck’s pedigree.

Standard equipment for the F-450 Super Duty Limited includes advanced driver-assistance and safety systems such as 360-degree camera with trailer reverse guidance, adaptive cruise control and steering, lane-keeping alert, plus forward-collision warning and braking. Also featured are Ford’s latest-generation Sync 3 connectivity system along with a panoramic moonroof and flat rear load floor with locking storage.

This winter, the Super Duty Limited Crew Cab variant will be available with Ford’s 6.7-liter V-8 diesel engine. In addition, F-250 and F-350 Super Duty Limited variants will be offered.
