Ford to Introduce High-End 2016 F-150 Limited Early Next Winter
This week, Ford said it will introduce the upscale 2016 F-150 Limited pickup, which will feature advanced safety and connectivity technology and premium exterior and interior amenities, making it Ford's most luxurious truck to date. The new premium truck will reach showrooms after the first of the year.
The sixth trim level in Ford's redesigned all-aluminum F-150 lineup will feature the latest-generation Sync 3 communication and entertainment system with a Sony 10-speaker sound system, in addition to a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, special beam LED headlights, remote tailgate release, and multi-contour front seats with a massage setting.
The new F-150 Limited, which will be offered in four paint colors--Shadow Black, Magnetic, Blue Jeans, and White Platinum Metallic tri-coat--also includes exclusive exterior design elements such as raised "LIMITED" badging on the hood, custom satin-chrome grille and tailgate, large sunroof, and 22-in. polished aluminum wheels. Ford also is offering a professional trailer backup-assist system as an option.
Inside, the F-150 Limited's cabin is outfitted with heated and cooled black and Mojave leather seating, fiddleback Eucalyptus wood and aluminum interior accents, and a unique instrument cluster. The armrest is decorated with a laser-engraved VIN plate with the model's production number. Matte-chrome door handles and a chrome exhaust tip are also included.
The new upscale Ford pickup will be powered by the F-150's standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, which produces 365 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated with an electronic 6-speed automatic transmission. Ford says the EPA-estimated fuel-economy rating for the F-150 is 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined.
Pricing for the new 2016 Ford F-150 Limited will be released at a later date.
