Dodge Muscle Cars Patrol L.A. Streets to Fete Star Wars Episode VII Premiere

This weekend, the Dodge brand is taking advantage of the build-up to the Monday, Dec. 14 world premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the latest episode in the iconic space saga franchise that has sold out a majority of advance tickets for the Friday, Dec. 18 opening in theaters worldwide with a showcase of specially themed Charger, Challenger, and Viper models.

A First Order Stormtrooper-themed white Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat powered by a 707-horsepower engine, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and a specially-wrapped black Dodge Viper ACR will parade through streets in Los Angeles in conjunction with the promotion. Star Wars and car enthusiasts who are in Los Angeles and interested in seeing these special Dodge models can track locations of the vehicles in real time on Twitter using hashtags #Dodge and #TheForceAwakens. Daily updates and fan favorites will be featured on the Dodge Facebook page and Instagram pages.

Specially Wrapped Star Wars Dodge and Viper Vehicles Patrol L.A. Streets photoFiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to promote the new iconic movie by airing the first in a campaign of TV ad spots for all its brands during the past week and is also creating “a presence” at the world premier in Hollywood. Additionally, FCA marketers have also developed a social media campaign this weekend that details the Dodge “Stormtrooper” vehicle patrol on Los Angeles streets. Fans in and around L.A. can have their pictures taken with one of the muscular, sporty cars.
