Dodge Dart Special Edition Models Debut for Summer

By Jeff Youngs,
Small car shoppers will have three additional reasons to visit a Dodge dealership this summer, as the 2013 Dart will be available in two new Special Edition variations. "These new Dodge Dart Special Edition packages show how we're listening to our customers," said Tim Kuniskis, president and CEO, Dodge Brand. "Since we launched the all-new Dart last June, we've been able to see how customers are ordering their Darts, and as a result, we have simplified our offerings to meet their requests."

In exchange for $595, the new Dart SXT Special Edition is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, black grille, dark-tinted headlights, fog lights, LED taillights, and dual exhaust outlets. A unique in-seat storage bin is located under the front passenger's seat cushion, and this new variant is equipped with a vehicle information display, an overhead console with a sunglasses holder, active aero grille shutters, and aerodynamic underbody panels. The price for this model is $19,845, including a destination charge of $895.

To this, a new Rallye Appearance Group is offered for the SXT Special Edition. This package, which costs $395, adds a dark center front fascia, Hyper Black aluminum wheels, and a "Rallye" badge. The window sticker for this model is $20,240.

For a more luxurious and sporty Dart, the new Limited Special Edition includes the look of the Rallye Appearance Group combined with the contents of the Limited trim level, and adds premium leather, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Navigation and a power sunroof are also included on this version of the Dart, along with satellite radio, remote engine starting, a universal garage door opener, and LED taillights. The Limited Special Edition costs $1,810 more than a standard Limited model, bringing the price tag to $22,700.
