2019 Jaguar F-Pace SVR with Extra Clout Bows in New York

By Philly Murtha, March 29, 2018
Jaguar unveiled its 2019 F-Pace SVR compact premium SUV that provides more oomph, race car speed and tighter handling at the 2018 New York Auto Show. Although built to be a luxury family utility, the SVR gets extra muscle from a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine that Jaguar claims will clear 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a possible 176 mph. The premium SVR variant, to be priced in the $80,000 retail range, will go on sale this summer.

Modified by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) in England, the F-Pace SVR’s V-8 that also powers other Jaguar and Land Rover models, produces 550 horsepower and 502 lb.-ft. of torque in partnership with an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive (AWD).

What makes the SVR variant special? An aerodynamic package has been developed that adds an exclusive hood design, unique front and rear bumpers, lower body sides, adjusted air intakes, and a rear flip spoiler for cooling to reduced lift and drag at higher speeds.

SVO engineers also have adapted and tuned this performance variant with uprated dampers and stiffer shocks. The SVR rides on wider 21-in. or available 22-in. forged wheels sized for improved handling and traction. In addition, a new electronic active differential improves dynamics and stability. Steering assist technology and special brakes are included and exhaust sound treatment also has been enhanced.

Inside the 2019 Jaguar F-Pace SVR, performance slim front sports seats are bolstered to hold driver and passenger steady during swift road turns and rear seats are quilted with embossed SVR logos. A sports shifter replaces the conventional rotary selector and the steering wheel comes with aluminum paddle shifters.

Additionally, this road-pulsing F-Pace SVR that seats five is not only whipping around corners fun-to-drive but also retains premium and tech amenities for passengers in the cabin. A standard infotainment system with 10.3-in.touchscreen can be switched up to an available unit with a 12.3-in. screen. 4G Wi-Fi can handle lots of devices and is optional. For more personalization, four interior color themes are available.
