Imagine a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat variant with a supercharged Hemi V-8 engine that puts out 797 horsepower and 707 lb.-ft. of torque and you have the new Hellcat Redeye. The latest SRT-massaged Challenger midsize sporty car is possessed with a demonic engine that Dodge claims is the brand’s quickest, fastest muscle car variant. The blended street-legal, track-ready SRT Hellcat Redeye, which accelerates from 0-60 mph in a claimed 3.4 seconds, will begin reaching Dodge showrooms by year’s end.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) kindles excitement with the specially badged black cat logo with red eyes variant that leverages the Challenger SRT Demon’s beefy, supercharged, 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission that will reach a top speed of 203 mph, Dodge says. FCA’s performance brand also claims its latest SRT Hellcat Redeye can race a quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds at 131 mph.

In addition, the 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye comes with 25 major enhancements that include a larger supercharger, strengthened connecting rods and pistons, high-speed valvetrain, fuel-injection system, and improved lubrication system. Also, a new dual-snorkel aluminum hood boosts horsepower, plus the R/T Scat Pack Widebody upgrade features wider fender flares that add 3.5 ins. to the overall width.

Also present on the new Challenger Redeye are special Pirelli tires and forged “Devil’s Rim” aluminum wheels to improve handling, along with larger 6-piston Brembo front brakes. The Challenger R/T and GT rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variants for 2019 also feature standard high-performance suspension modifications.

For customized sports panache, Dodge offers 14 exterior color and racing stripe choices with a selection of interior and trims for its newest muscle car variant. Additionally, 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye buyers will receive a one-day high-performance driving course from the Bob Bondurant Driving School as part of their purchase.

Initially, Dodge introduced the Challenger Hellcat variant for 2015, and launched the limited-edition Challenger SRT Demon as a 2018 model that set a Guinness World Record, pacing a quarter mile in 9.65 seconds. The newest Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye variant will start production this fall at the Brampton, Ontario, plant.
