Top-Rated Luxury SUVs Over $50,000 in the 2017 Initial Quality Study

Top-Rated Luxury SUVs Over $50,000 in the 2017 Initial Quality Study

By Christian Wardlaw, June 21, 2017

On an annual basis, J.D. Power conducts the research that is the foundation for the Initial Quality Study (IQS). The IQS measures defect and design problems as reported by new-vehicle owners during the first 90 days of ownership, and is an industry benchmark study of owner satisfaction with new-vehicle quality.

Based on this research, J.D. Power calculates Power Circle Ratings. These ratings visually reflect and represent the overall findings from the research, and are intended for use by consumers when they are researching and shopping for a new car, truck, SUV, or van.
