Top-Rated 2015 Trucks: Performance and Design

By Christian Wardlaw, July 26, 2015

The annual J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM measures what new-vehicle owners like and dislike about their new car, truck, SUV, or van. Conducted following the first 90 days of ownership, the study asks the opinions of new-vehicle owners in order to determine how satisfying their new vehicle is to own, use, and drive.

From this data, J.D. Power formulates Power Circle Ratings that are designed to summarize in a consumer-friendly manner how appealing each make and model is to its owners. Car shoppers who are in the process of selecting a new vehicle and want to own an appealing model can use these ratings as a guide.

Based on the results of the 2015 U.S. APEAL Study, the following pickup truck models rank highest in terms of overall appeal within their respective segment. Each model, listed below in alphabetical order, receives a Power Circle Rating of 4 or 5 (out of a possible 5) for overall appeal.
