By Christian Wardlaw, July 25, 2015
The J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM is conducted annually, surveying tens of thousands of new-vehicle owners in order to determine what they like and dislike about their vehicle after the first 90 days of ownership.
From this information, J.D. Power calculates Power Circle Ratings, which serve to summarize the findings of the study and assist vehicle researchers in identifying which makes and models are the most gratifying to own and drive, according to the people who own them.
Listed below, in alphabetical order, are those luxury convertible models that are the most appealing within their respective vehicle segments, according to the results of the 2015 U.S. APEAL Study. Each receives a Power Circle Rating of 5 (out of a possible 5) for overall appeal, and all but one originate from Germany.
