Lexus 2017 Model Overview

For 2017, several Lexus models gain the automaker’s Lexus Safety System+ technology, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Otherwise, changes are minor aside from a subtle refresh of the IS sedan.

Detailed changes for each 2017 Lexus car and SUV model are shown on the pages that follow.

2017 Lexus CT

  • New colors include Caviar, Atomic Silver, Blue Vortex, and Autumn Shimmer

2017 Lexus ES

  • Standard equipment expanded to include rain-sensing wipers, Lexus Safety System+
  • Entry-level audio system gains Scout GPS Link navigation capability
  • Remote Touch Interface controls gain a “Back” button for improved functionality

2017 Lexus GS

  • Standard equipment includes navigation (GS 200t), Lexus Safety System+
  • Optional limited-slip rear differential for GS 350 with rear-wheel drive
  • GS F performance sedan adds a linear adaptive variable suspension, painted or polished forged aluminum wheels, and an optional head-up display
  • New color: Smokey Granite Mica

2017 Lexus GX

  • Heated and ventilated front seats offered as separate option for base model
  • Second-row captain’s chairs optional for Premium trim level, standard for Luxury version
  • New Sport Design option package includes gray-painted wheels and revised exterior styling details

2017 Lexus IS

  • Standard equipment includes Lexus Safety System+
  • Minor styling updates including bumpers, grille, lighting, exhaust diffusers, wheel selections
  • Updated steering wheel, audio controls, cupholders, and trim
  • Standard infotainment system gains Scout GPS Link navigation capability
  • Optional Navigation package includes 10.3-in. display and a new “Back” button for the Remote Touch Interface
  • New interior colors: Chateau and Nuance Black
  • New exterior colors: Caviar and Nightfall Mica

2017 Lexus LS

  • Lexus makes no changes to its flagship sedan for 2017

2017 Lexus LX

  • Lexus makes no changes to its flagship SUV for 2017

2017 Lexus NX

  • Front-drive hybrid model cancelled; all hybrids have all-wheel drive
  • Standard infotainment system gains Scout GPS Link navigation capability
  • New optional 18-in. wheel design
  • New colors for F Sport: Molten Pearl and Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0

2017 Lexus RC

  • Performance suspension tuning standard for RC 350 with rear-wheel drive
  • Base infotainment system gains Scout GPS Link navigation capability
  • Triple-beam LED headlights now available
  • Black grille added to RC 200t
  • Revised wheel finishes
  • New color: Caviar

2017 Lexus RX

  • Standard equipment includes rain-sensing wipers, Lexus Safety System+
  • Automatic rear braking added to the rear cross-traffic alert and park-assist systems
  • F Sport trim now offered with front-wheel drive
  • New color: Atomic Silver
