Ford Cars 2017 Model Overview

Ford has officially started production of its new mid-engine exotic car, the GT. Aside from this launch, Ford has bestowed most of its updates upon the brand’s popular midsize family sedan, the Fusion. Quietly, the company has also increased the Focus Electric’s driving range, and has upgraded its charging system. Also, the Mustang Shelby GT350 gets a standard Track package for 2017.

2017 Ford C-Max

  • Revised headlights, taillights, and grille
  • New Titanium trim level adds upscale look
  • New color: White Gold


2017 Ford Fiesta

  • Revised aluminum wheel designs for SE and Titanium trim levels
  • New colors: Chrome Copper, Bohai Bay Mint, and Orange Spice (ST only)


2017 Ford Focus

  • SEL package debuts with appearance upgrades and a power sunroof
  • Improved range for Focus Electric, up to 115 miles on a single charge from 76 miles in 2016, thanks to more powerful battery
  • DC Fast Charging is now standard for the Focus Electric
  • New color: White Gold


2017 Ford Fusion

  • Ford’s midsize family sedan is significantly updated for 2017
  • Luxury Platinum and performance-tuned Sport trim levels join the lineup
  • Revised exterior styling and improved interior storage
  • Automatic start/stop technology added to 1.5-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine
  • Transmission operated using a rotary dial on the center console
  • Available Sync Connect services with Ford Pass smartphone app
  • Available adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, active park assist
  • Upgraded vehicle structure earns better crash-test ratings
  • New colors: White Gold, Lightning Blue, Burgundy Velvet


2017 Ford GT

  • Revived high-performance sports car
  • Carbon fiber and aluminum construction
  • Aircraft-inspired, tear-drop body shape with active aerodynamics
  • Mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter V-6 engine making more than 600 horsepower
  • 7-speed dual-clutch transmission
  • F1-style steering wheel with paddle shifters
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes, active racing-design suspension
  • Accommodations for two people in fixed seats that are integrated into the carbon-fiber passenger cell
  • Configurable digital instrumentation, adjustable pedals and steering column
  • Ford promises one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car


2017 Ford Mustang

  • Track package is standard for the Shelby GT350
  • Shelby GT350 offered with new Convenience and Electronics option packages
  • Upgraded stereo for Shelby GT350 increases speaker count from 7 to 9
  • New colors: White Platinum, Grabber Blue, Lightning Blue, and Ruby Red (for Shelby GT350)


2017 Ford Taurus

  • Limited and SHO trim levels include a standard Sony Clear Phase premium audio system with Live Acoustics technology
  • New colors: White Gold and Smoked Quartz
